The personal shower is probably better known to most people as the handheld showerhead. Such a device differs from the traditional showerhead because it can be held in the hand and moved to various locations in the shower. This greater flexibility gives the hand shower many functions.  Some of the most common types of handheld showerheads attach to a hose that is attached to either a diverter at the fixed showerhead or to the tub spout. Of these two, it’s generally a lot easier to install a hand showerhead on the fixed showerhead. The fixed showerhead can simply be unscrewed from the shower arm and then a diverter would thread onto the shower arm and the showerhead would mount to the diverter.  That diverter lets you run either the fixed showerhead or hand held showerhead independently. You can rest the handheld showerhead at any convenient location in the shower area by using a swivel connector, which attaches quickly and easily to any hand showerhead and held in place by a pin wall mount bracket or slide bar.
