A urinal is a plumbing fixture designed that is typically found in commercial or institutional male restrooms. When it comes to urinals, there are two basic materials VMS offers: stainless steel and vitreous china. In most facilities, more water is used in restrooms than any other area of the building. While most of this water is used for flushing toilets, water consumption used for flushing urinals is not far behind.  VMS is committed to saving water and for this reason we offer water free or waterless urinals.  These water less urinals divert urine through a one-way valve into a trap. This trap contains a chemical that is less dense than urine. When the urine flows through this trap, the liquid displaces the urine, forcing it lower into the trap. Inside of the cartridge the urine moves through a floating layer of proprietary immiscible blue liquid, which creates a barrier, preventing sewer gases and urine odors from entering the restroom area.  VMS stocks a wide variety of water free replacement cartridges.
