When the push bar or button is pressed, it sends an electrical signal to the solenoid, which activates the water flow and allows the user a drink of water.  Push bars are located on the front and the sides of the shroud.  They snap into place and are held there by the tabs on the back of the push pad. Push pads are generally plastic and color matched to the cooler. Also available are Self-Closing Mechanically Activated Push bars on both front and side panels so the fountain can operate during power disruptions.
